Firms Flee Hong Kong Riots for Strict-Ruled Singapore

Hong Kong has been gripped by a 21st consecutive weekend of violent ‘anti-Beijing’ rallies, with protesters and police clashing again in the financial hub. The unrest in Hong Kong could prove to be a boon for rival financial hub Singapore, with a new poll finding some companies are considering relocating there. According to the survey, 23% of firms with an office in Hong Kong are thinking of moving their business out. Of those firms, 9 out of 10 consider Singapore to be the best option.
