Israeli forces have detained nearly 20 Palestinians in fresh raids into several cities in the occupied West Bank. The Palestinian prisoners’ society says the arrests were made in Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah, and Hebron, also known as al-Khalil. Several of the detainees were former prisoners in Israeli jails. Israeli forces raid Palestinian towns and cities in the West Bank on an almost daily basis, arresting Palestinian men, women, and children often without any charges. More than 65-hundred Palestinians are currently held in Israeli jails. Hundreds of these prisoners have been incarcerated under the practice of administrative detention. Under the policy, Palestinians are kept in jails without trial or charge.
