  In the event of any conventional war in Europe, Russia would easily prevail because it has the upper hand in the state of military in comparison with the United States, says an American scholar. The Russian military would prevail at any conventional war in Europe with ease,” said James Henry Fetzer, who is a retired professor in Madison, Wisconsin. “The state of the Russian military is overwhelmingly more advanced than that of the American military,” he added.   At a conference hosted by Powell Tate, a public relations agency that represents US shipbuilders, Keating said, “As our Navy gets a little bit smaller, we’re facing increasing challenges for funding to get a smaller number of ships to a larger number of ports to demonstrate our readiness and partnership and our presence to all those countries in the Indo-Pacific region.” According to the retired admiral, “the Navy also needs another six submarines.” Fetzer, however, said, “This should not be taken as anything other than a commercial for this public relations agency represents US shipbuilders.” “The admiral, who is retired, appears to be a consultant to this public relations forum that represents to shipbuilders,” he added. “This is really bizarre because they are talking about a vast expansion, 50 to 75 more ships than the current level and it’s really the sort of issue that is involved in long term planning,” Fetzer noted.
