  Blizzard conditions gripped Boston on Sunday as Winter Storm Neptune dumped an additional 16 inches of snow (41cm) on a city that already has 72 inches (1.8m) of standing snow in some areas. Sunday’s winter storm pushed the total amount of snowfall in Boston during February to 45.5 inches (1.2m), making it the snowiest month in the city’s recorded history.
