The recent diplomatic flurry by Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande has raised hopes for a breakthrough on Ukraine. But while the Europeans make a push on the diplomatic front, the US is advocating weapons for Kiev. Could the US go down the war path without Europe’s support, and could Hungary’s isolated Prime Minister help close the gap between Russia and the West?
