Israel Might be Preparing for Major War with Lebanon

  Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah says it has destroyed an Israeli military vehicle, killing and wounding all those inside it. Hezbollah says it destroyed the vehicle on the road to the Avivim barracks in northern Israel. Reports say an Israeli army commander of the Northern Area Division was killed in the attack. Israel however says no casualties have been caused. The Israeli military says it has fired back by helicopter gunship and artillery fire. Hezbollah has confirmed that Israeli forces shelled the border village of Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered cabinet ministers not to say a word about Sunday’s developments. He said he would decide on future action depending on how events develop. The Israeli military says current hostilities with Hezbollah appear to be over. Meanwhile, Lebanese Prime Minister Sa’ad Hariri has called on the US and France to intervene. Tensions have remained high after Israeli drone attacks on Lebanon in the past week.
