  Mike Pence is turning up the heat on Venezuela. The vice president announced the US would lift sanctions on one Venezuelan general who has reportedly broken ranks with President Nicolas Maduro. Pence also warned Venezuela’s top judges would face consequences if they don’t back opposition leader Juan Guaidó. Pence’s announcement comes a week after Guaido’s third failed coup attempt.
