  Reports swirled on Wednesday and Thursday about the timing of the release of the United States long-awaited roadmap for Middle East peace, as Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was on a clear path to security a record-breaking fifth consecutive term leading the country.

  Sources familiar with the Trump administration’s “deal of the century” told ABC Newson Thursday that plan — spearheaded by a delegation of US officials including the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner — could be rolled out as early as this month.

  But a Reuters report citing a senior administration official said that the proposal would not be revealed until after Netanyahu forms his new coalition — a process that could take up to a month.

  Both outlets reported that the plan, whose contents have been kept closely guarded over the past two years, has only been seen regularly by four members of the delegation appointed by Trump to avoid any leaks. American allies, including the Israeli government, have also been kept in the dark on the plan’s details. Apparently the President himself hasn’t even seen the plan in its entirety.
