  Iran’s top military commander says the United States spent seven thousand billion dollars in Iraq and Syria, but achieved nothing. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces said the Islamic Republic achieved strategic and important gains in Iraq and Syria despite very low expenditure. Major General Mohammad Baqeri said these gains were made through wisdom, hard work and guidance. He noted that the Islamic Republic and the resistance front have succeeded in making major breakthroughs in the fight against Takfiri terrorism in the region. Baqeri said Daesh has been defeated in Syria and Iraq despite enemies’ efforts, and now the countries that created terror groups are standing in line to reopen their embassies in Syria and Iraq.
