3 Demonstrators Killed by Israeli Fire

  Israeli forces kill three Palestinian protesters during a demonstration along the so-called buffer zone in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian medical sources say nearly 200 other people were also injured after Israeli forces opened fire on the protesters. Gazans have been staging weekly protests since late March demanding Israel respect the right of refugees to return to their homeland. Israeli soldiers respond harshly to the protests using live ammunition against demonstrators. Nearly 200 people have been killed and thousands of others wounded since then.
