Israeli fire killed a Palestinian medic as well as hitting 25 others today, Gaza’s health ministry has claimed, during clashes and protests along the border. The death of Abdullah al-Qatati came after the territory’s Islamist rulers Hamas reached a ceasefire with Israel yesterday. Another Palestinian is in critical condition after being shot in the head, the strip’s authorities say. Protesters set tyres on fire and threw stones during today’s demonstrations.
