  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu bragged that he convinced President Donald Trump to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal, according to reports.

  “We convinced the US president [to exit the deal] and I had to stand up against the whole world and come out against this agreement. And we didn’t give up,” Netanyahu boasted in a clip aired on Israeli TV Tuesday and translated by The Times of Israel.

  The deal — brokered by Trump’s predecessor, President Barack Obama — eased economic sanctions in exchange for Iran limiting nuclear research and opening its doors to international inspectors. Trump, who as a candidate called the arrangement the “worst deal ever,” announced on May 8 the US was pulling out.

  Netanyahu previously claimed the agreement wouldn’t prevent arch-rival Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
