EU Wants to Keep Iran Nuclear Deal in Place — Europe & USA Heading for Showdown

• I am not so sure that the JCPOA agreement is contractually valid any more as the main/major signing party USA has refused to abide by it. Contractually, I do not believe Iran is obligated to fulfill the conditions in the JCPOA. Ie. There is no legal case for saying Iran must abide by the JCPOA.

• Trump is re-imposing sanctions on Iran (again making the agreement void). Europe will have to fight America on the sanctions impose on Iran. Otherwise, the EU stand that it wants to keep the JCPOA agreement is meaningless. It appears Europe is about to break away from America’s hegemony.

• To make the JCPOA contractually binding, I believe, the only way is to come out with another new agreement which is based on the JCPOA. The United Nations, I doubt have enforcement power over USA. Can the UN impose punitive measures on America for violating terms of agreement? America will just tell UN to goto hell: “Go and talk to my nuclear bombs!”.
