  THE BREXIT vote confirmed European Union citizens do not want further integration and will reject any EU plans for a United States of Europe, British MEP Stuart Agnew said.

  MEP Stuart Agnew ripped into plans by EU leaders for an EU superstate and said it would fail to work with member states. Speaking in the European Parliament on Monday, Ukip MEP Stuart Agnew said the EU promote certain legislation in order to fulfil one political objective – a United States of Europe.

  Mr Agnew said Brexit proves EU member states do not want more harmonisation. He said: “Recent events in the UK prove that there is no appetite for this.” The British MEP said all EU member states have different cultures and identities and a “one size fits all approach just does not work”.
