Tel Aviv Says Will Continue Attacking Syria

The Israeli Prime Minister has pledged to continue anti-Syria operations despite an international effort to bring peace to the crisis-hit Arab country. Benjamin Netanyahu said he had informed both Washington and Moscow of the decision. The Israeli premier’s statement is a rebuke to the United States and Russia that recently pledged their commitment to Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity. Last week, U-S President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin issued a joint statement, saying there was no military solution to the crisis in Syria. The two leaders also agreed to continue joint anti-Daesh efforts and called on all parties to take an active part in the Geneva political process. The statement was devoted to the cease fire in southwest Syria that was initially agreed to in July.
