Latest IAEA Report on Iran’s Nuclear Program Challenges US Claims

The International Atomic Energy Agency has once again verified Iran’s compliance with the nuclear deal with the P5+1 groups of countries. The agency said in its quarterly report that key parameters of Iran’s nuclear activities remain within the limits outlined in the nuclear agreement. This is the ninth time the IAEA confirms Iran’s abiding by the deal. The latest confirmation comes after US President Donald Trump refused to certify Iran’s compliance on October 13. Trump sent the matter to the US Congress, saying lawmakers should decide whether to pull out of the deal. Iran has warned that Washington’s withdrawal would constitute a breach of the UN Security Council Resolution 2231. Tehran says it will not be the first to pull out of the agreement, but will stick to the deal as long as its national interests are served.
