Palestinian authorities say Israeli forces have subjected two youths to physical assault and humiliating treatment after arresting them in the occupied West Bank. The Palestinian Committee of Prisoners’ Affairs, which interviewed the victims, said they were transferred to a military zone near Qalqiliya after their arrest. There, the Israeli forces beat up and verbally abused the two brothers, before taking a selfie with their injured bodies. They were then taken to another detention center where they were strip-searched. UN figures show Israeli forces made 200 arrests, including children, across the West Bank only in a fortnight in October. Rights groups say at least two-thirds of the detained children suffered physical violence in Israeli custody.
