The United States Air Force has flown two bombers over the Korean peninsula amid increasing tensions over North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs. The bombers had taken off from an air force base in Guam. The U-S military said that Japanese and South Korean military aircraft joined the drill carried out in the vicinity of the Sea of Japan. The South Korean military also said that the training was part of a regular exercise to bolster military defense and display the alliance between the U-S and South Korea. Tensions have increased between Pyongyang and Washington over U-S military build-up near the Korean Peninsula and Pyongyang’s nuclear and ballistic missile tests.
