Reza Najafi made the remarks during a meeting with the I-A-E-A Board of Governors. He called on the agency to take Tel Aviv’s nuclear program into serious consideration. Najafi further criticized the Israeli regime for ignoring the international outcry against its development of a military-based nuclear program. Israel is widely believed to possess hundreds of nuclear warheads and has not signed the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Tel Aviv’s western allies, led by the U-S, have on several occasions voted down I-A-E-A resolutions that demand inspection of Israel’s nuclear weapons sites.
