Philippines President Declares ‘Separation’ from US. Duterte is “NOT Interested in Starting WW3”!

    Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has announced his country’s separation from the United States as relations between Washington and Manila deteriorates. Speaking at a business forum in Beijing, Duterte said the US has lost and that he has realigned himself with China. However, a US official says Washington has not received any request from Manila to modify bilateral cooperation. Duterte effectively severed 65 years of military ties between the US and the Philippines earlier this month by ordering American troops out of the country. The Philippine President has drawn condemnation from the US and EU for encouraging a war on drugs in his country. Duterte has been in power since June.
