Israelis Shoot Dead Palestinian in West Bank

  Israeli soldiers have fatally shot yet another Palestinian in the occupied West Bank. The victim was identified as 38-year-old Iyad Zakariya Hamed. Israelis claim they killed him while he was running toward an army post at the entrance to the town of Silwad. According to Palestinian security officials, ‘Iyad’ had a history of mental health issues and was taking medication. The occupied West Bank has seen an upsurge in violence since the October last year. Israeli forces have killed 233 Palestinians since then. The tensions erupted after Israeli settlers and soldiers repeatedly stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque complex.
