  Washington and Ankara are trying to put a brave face on their strained bilateral ties. It emerged earlier that President Obama will not host a formal meeting with his Turkish counterpart. However President Erdogan claims a meeting of some sort will take place and preparations are underway. The Turkish leader is currently in Washington for a Nuclear Security Summit.
