Iran: Carter Remarks Reveal US Destabilizing Policies in Region

  Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman has slammed the recent anti-Tehran remarks by the US defense secretary. Marzieh Afkham says Ashton Carter’s comments reveal Washington’s destabilizing policies and measures in the region. She was reacting to a recent interview in which Carter advised Arab nations to unite against Tehran. Afkham said such remarks obviously seek enmity and pessimism in the region. She noted that Carter’s words deserve the reaction of regional Arab governments as it was rather an insult to them.
