A senior Iranian commander has blamed the United States for the fall of the Iraqi city of Ramadi to the ISIL terrorists. Commander of Iran’s Quds Force Major General Qassem Soleimani said that the US military did almost nothing to stop the Takfiri militants from advancing on the city, despite being stationed in the nearby al-Asad base. Soleimani said that American forces are in Iraq under the pretext of supporting the nation, but they lack the will to fight the ISIL and this means they’re accomplices in the crimes of the Takfiri terrorists. Earlier, US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter criticized Iraqi forces for their unwillingness to fight for the city of Ramadi. Carter said that the Iraqi forces fled Ramadi despite vastly outnumbering the militants.
