Iran Defense Minister: Takfiri Terrorists Serving Israel, US Interest!

  Iran’s Defense Minister Hossein Dehqan says Takfiri terrorist groups in the region are fighting a proxy war which serves the interests of Israel and the United States. Dehqan said the violence is aimed at guaranteeing Israel’s security, disintegrating Muslim countries, and ultimately gaining full control of the region. He also criticized the Saudi invasion of Yemen as in line with a joint Israeli-American strategy. Dehqan made the remarks at a meeting with his Syrian counterpart Fahd Jassem al-Freij in Tehran. He stressed dialog as the only solution to the crisis in Syria and gave Iran’s full support for Damascus in its battle against terrorism. For his part, Freij accused the U-S, Israel, and a number of regional states of direct involvement in the war on Syria. He hailed Tehran’s sustained support and called for the expansion of security cooperation with Tehran.
