  Once again, SITE discovers terror threat against America. 
  A month old alleged threat against U.S.service personnel by the Islamic State was followed up by a new warning from the Northern Command on Monday.

  The “official use” warning by the military command urging soldiers to hide their personal information online follows the release of a purported IS video claiming the group will engage in another 9/11 attack against the United States.
  –
  “These organizations are attempting to use our own personal information against us to create fear and anxiety among our ranks and within our families,” the message obtained by The Washington Times states.
  –
  “We all have a responsibility to protect ourselves and our fellow service members and their families. We must reduce our vulnerabilities through active and vigilant monitoring of the information provided via the Internet and social media sources.”

  In addition to reducing online profiles on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, the Northern Command advises military personnel to limit “outward signs of DoD affiliation,” be “on the lookout for geo-tracking features,” and avoid sharing information “such as where your children go to school … or other information that allows someone to track your routines and possibly guess when and where you or your family might be.”

  “Threats such as this are typical of ISIL, illustrating their viciousness and desperation. These actions will not affect our resolve in this fight against ISIL,” a Northcom guidance for public affairs officers reads.

  Islamic State Launches Twitter Campaign Threatening 9/11 Attack
  According to SITE, the video is part of a Twitter campaign attributed to the Islamic State under the hashtag #WeWillBurnUSAgain. The tweets are threatening to unleash a new 9/11 attack on America.

  “In a time of lone wolf attacks, and Americans and other Westerners pledging to the Islamic State, this kind of campaign should not be taken lightly,” SITE Director Rita Katz said.
