  Despite the ongoing escalation in Ukraine, Kiev insists it is pushing for peace. In a recent statement, Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry called for a renewed effort to implement the Minsk agreements, starting from Monday. But not everyone is convinced that Kiev is ready to de-escalate. Daniel McAdams, executive director of the Ron Paul Institute, believes President Poroshenko is taking an increasingly aggressive approach because he’s counting on US support.
