  Palestinian resistance groups have hailed a deadly attack on the synagogue in southwestern Jerusalem al-Quds.

  Hamas and Islamic Jihad based in the Gaza Strip say the assault was in response to Sunday’s murder of a Palestinian bus driver by Israeli settlers. At least four Israelis, including a rabbi, were killed and several others injured by two Palestinian assailants in the synagogue in Har Nof. The attackers, armed with a pistol and an axe, were fatally shot by Israeli forces. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine has claimed responsibility for the attack. There’ve been reactions from officials on both sides. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened to harshly respond to the attack. While Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has condemned the attack, and also called on Israel to end its provocations. Meanwhile, clashes have broken out in the Jabal al-Mokbber neighborhood in al-Quds. That’s where the two Palestinian assailants came from.
