  NATO’s commander in Europe has asked the Pentagon to send more troops. He wants to offer reassurance to alarmed allies over the claims Russian militaries have been massing on the Ukrainian border. NATO has expressed alarm over Russian jets and bombers that have been on training flights over the Baltic and Black Seas in recent days, but Russia’s Defence Ministry denied any intrusion. Journalist Assed Baig believes the scaremongering is just a pretext for a further NATO build up in the region.
