Protesters worldwide gathered to call attention to the Obama administration’s failed promise to close the Guantanamo Bay detention facility. Years after President Barack Obama ran for office promising to close the facility, the prison on the Cuban island still holds 154 detainees. Many have been cleared for release, but politics remain an obstacle to their freedom. RT’s Anastasia Churkina attended a protest in New York City to learn more.
