According to the prophecy of St. Malachy, Petrus Romanus has arrived. Pope Francis I, formerly known as Jorge Mario Bergoglio, was the son of an Italian railroad worker from Turin, Italy. While those of shallow vision will be quick to point out “his name is not Peter,” prophecy is often fulfilled enigmatically in a manner not entirely clear until it is resolved. For example, who could have known that “labor of the sun” John Paul II would be buried during eclipse until his papacy had ended? We have stated from the beginning that the title “Peter the Roman” was likely symbolic. All popes claim apostolic succession from Peter and for this reason it is called the Petrine office. For instance, Tom Horn stated in a recent interview for World Net Daily:

Regardless, Horn said he’s always maintained that it doesn’t take someone whose Christian name is Peter to fulfill the prophecy. “In fact, if any Italian is elected, that would be a fairly transparent fulfillment,” he said. Moreover, he argued, “in a very general sense, every pope could be regarded as ‘Peter the Roman,’ and in that sense, this could be the last one.”[1]

Rome was an empire and a city so his Italian ancestry arguably meets the Roman aspect albeit in an oblique way. Interestingly, Rene Thibaut, the Jesuit who wrote in 1950 that the papacy would be abdicated in 2012, rejected the possibility of a pope named Peter and wrote that the name symbolized the totality of the papacy:

There is only one Peter, the first of the Roman pontiffs, and he was seen in his many successors. He still to serve in the final as in the first persecution. We believe Petrus Romanus represents all the Roman Pontiffs from St. Peter to the recipient Gloria Olivae.[2]

In Thibaut’s reckoning all the ambitions and pretensions of the papal dynasty are now encompassed in one man. Paramount is the fact that he is the first ever Jesuit pope. This has great prophetic significance as the Jesuit order was formed to specifically to combat the protestant reformation and assert papal supremacy over the entire world. According to a historian, “The Jesuits were the soldiers of the pope: they knew no law but the will of their general, no mode of worship but the pope’s dictate no church but themselves.” [3] Because of this, the Jesuit order was suppressed and disbanded for its pernicious skullduggery by Pope Clement XIV in 1773 and by the mid-eighteenth century, the Jesuits had earned a bad reputation in Europe for political maneuvering and economic exploitation bar none. Interestingly, Pope Benedict XVI addressed the Jesuit order in 2008 encouraging them reinvigorate the fourth vow. He said,

For this very reason I have invited you and also invite you today to reflect in order to rediscover the fullest meaning of your characteristic “fourth vow” of obedience to the Successor of Peter, …[4]

The fourth vow of obedience to the pope is one of “absolute subservience to the pope; to do whatever he enjoined, and go on any service he wished, and into any quarter of the globe.”[5] A few ex-Jesuits have called this a blood oath involving pagan rites which were laid bare in the suppressed document “Jesuit Extreme Oath of Induction” which was recorded in records of the U.S. Congress. In Mat 17:12,13 Jesus called John the baptist the prophecied Elias. The St Malachy prophecies described pontificate or some events or characteristic of the pope. I don’t know of any mentioning exact names. A prophecy is normally proven after it has come to pass. I would wait and see if this pope behaves in ways that Apostle Peter did which could lead to the tragic events portrayed in other prophecies about the supposed pope. Matt 23:34 – 36 Jesus states what brought judgement on Jerusalem. Deja vu
I am not like Horn and Putnam committed to and invested in the Petrus Romanus theory, if it’s not true, so be it and let’s forget it, but I can’t write it off so easily for reasons others including the authors, don’t know and aren’t seeing.

All Popes are theoretically Peter the Roman. This Pope just wants to be it more than any before. He wants to level with the people of Rome, walk around in Rome, talk to anyone, speak Italian, be simple not royally papal at all. This in itself is a Peter the Roman sign and style but it’s other things I see that could and should concern us..

Back in the 90’s my sister-in-law pointed out that there were Roman Numerals on the Pope’s “hat” (the pointed tall one), and that the numerals said 666 in r.n.’s. I took a look and sure nuf.
He apparently took his name from St. Francis, a 12th Century Friar and the founder of the Franciscan Order. It may be a stretch but I thought it interesting that his full name, according to wikipedia, is Francesco di Pietro di Bernardone. Pietro being the Italian spelling and pronunciation of the name Peter… I could be reading too much into it but I thought it was a strange coincidence to say the least.
BTW- I left the above comment- respectful, well argued point on Putnam’s site and he immediately censored it off. That is how these “experts” win. By eliminating dissent. What rubbish. He & Horn are frauds.
Agreed. The prophecy FAILED. Now that there is no Peter the Roman- it seems THAT part of the prophecy can be shoved under the rug “well they are all, in a sense, ‘Peter’ anyway”. bullocks. Then why is the name ‘Peter’ so prominently emphasized by Malachy? And no this Pope is NOT Italian. He is Argentinian. He was born in SOUTH AMERICA– His parents are Italian, not him.
Horn & Co do what most discredited analysts do- they try to stretch the facts to fit their interpretations and make themselves right. Then add new “confirming” materials that somehow verify their theory. St Francis prophecy etc. But Horn’s writing was of MALACHY 900 yr prophecy (now completely downplayed, scarce mentioned in this post).
All their emphasis on the jesuits has merit, but that doesnt make this new pope called Peter- and he needs to be, if Prophecy is true. Maybe they should have found a jesuit named Peter. (I do agree that Francis named himself for Francis Xavier, and not Assisi as is commonly assumed).
This man is no true pope the last was Pius XII officially all after I,posters hand picked by the luciferians who are in control of Vatican and world all these men starting with John 23 to know are excommunicated three times each proven by the late Father Luigi Villa look up his books it is all there thry even cut themselves off by there own oaths plus more blind leafing the blind no one wants truth time is up you sheeple even spit upon Mary and deceived here which you Nwo Catholics will answer for very soon
