  The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) began its annual heads-of-state session Tuesday, with President Obama delivering a 30-minute speech that launched what the British intend to be a scripted escalation to thermonuclear world war over the course of this week.

  Obama’s remarks were a piece of unabashed sophistry, which began by proclaiming how deeply the United States shares the U.N. ideals of peaceful negotiations, and of how diplomacy can and must take the place of war. He then went on to reiterate and defend every feature of his policy which is in fact dragging the world into thermonuclear war: launching the illegal war in Libya; imposing violent regime change in Syria; “we will do what we must” to stop Iran’s nuclear program; etc. Obama predictably delivered the boast that “Al-Qaeda has been weakened, and Osama Bin Laden is no more.” And he did all this wrapped in the flag of a eulogy to murdered Ambassador Chris Stevens — whose death was of course caused by Obama and his policies.

  Tomorrow, Iranian head of state Ahmadinejad will speak, and as is now customary, most Western ambassadors are expected to stand up and walk out. Ahmadinejad gave an interview to 60 Minutes over the weekend, in which he managed to push all the assigned buttons: “Fundamentally we do not take seriously the threats of the Zionists… We have all the defensive means at our disposal and we are ready to defense ourselves. We don’t even count them as any part of any equation for Iran. During a historical phase, they represent minimal disturbance that come into the picture and are then eliminated… Iran has been around for the last 7-10 thousand years. They have been occupying those territories for the last 60-70 years, with the support and force of the Westerners. They have no roots there in history.”

  The White House, on cue, denounced his remarks as “disgusting, offensive and outrageous.” And then on Thursday, Netanyahu will put the icing on the cake, in a speech to the UNGA which will reportedly “pressure” the U.S. to draw a sharp red line regarding Iran.
