  Russia’s military has been carrying out rapid-deployment drills in the exclave of Kaliningrad – the country’s most Western region. The exercises involved thousands of troops, marines, missile and artillery units. NATO has also held drills in Eastern Europe over the last three months, close to Russian borders.
