Palestinians Slam Demolition of West Bank Village
- PressTV Published on Aug 2, 2018
People have demonstrated against Israel’s plans to demolish a Palestinian Bedouin village in the occupied West Bank. Protesters took to the streets in Khan al-Ahmar village east of Jerusalem al-Quds. They expressed determination to defend Palestinians’ existence and survival. Meanwhile Israel’s Supreme Court decided to postpone its ruling to demolish the village to hear protesters’ petition. The court had ruled in May that the village was built without the relevant building permits. Israel also carried out a series of demolitions in the village of Abu Anwar in the same region. Human rights groups say Israel’s relentless demolition campaign is aimed at uprooting Palestinians from their territories and seizing more land to expand its settlements.
