Doctors in Canada accomplished a medical first by removing both of her lungs for six days while she waited for a transplant. Dr. Shaf Keshavjee, surgeon-in-chief at the Sprott Dept. of Surgery, was one of 13 surgeons required for the surgery, and now joins RT America’s Manila Chan to recount their thrilling accomplishment and discuss the medical science behind it.
