  A Russian missile appears likely to have entered the airspace of NATO member Poland today, a Polish general said, after an unidentified aerial object was spotted in the early hours amid a fierce Russian offensive in Ukraine overnight.

  General Maciej Klisz, operational commander of Poland’s armed forces, said the object likely left Polish airspace after less than three minutes above the country’s territory and returned to Ukraine.

  “His domestic flight path over Polish territory was under surveillance,” Klisz told reporters. “At the moment the scenario I prefer is that the missile left Polish airspace”
