  The US government is notoriously secretive when it comes to sharing what it knows about extraterrestrial life. But in a possible bid for transparency, the Department of Defense has released a new document disclosing the ‘world’s UFO hotspots’. It includes a map disclosing where the most sightings of unidentified objects have been recorded, based on reports between 1996 and 2023. The map comes shortly after a Pentagon chief admitted that hundreds of mysterious objects have been spotted ‘all over the world.’

  Dr Sean Kirkpatrick, director of the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), said: ‘We see these [‘metallic orbs’] all over the world, and we see these making very interesting apparent manoeuvres.’
