Dutch Central Banker, Klaas Knot, recently shook the financial world when he mentioned the prospect of revaluing the Dutch Central Bank gold and an effort to Stave off major losses due to Rising interest rates. Maybe Jerome Powell and the United States Federal Reserve should pay attention, as much of the European Union countries hold significant gold reserves. European Central banks value most of their gold at Bretton Woods $35 Dutch Central Banker, Klaas Knot (Governor Dutch Central Bank) talks about revaluing gold. All the European central banks are (1) experiencing major losses, every individual country has to play by the rules of the ecb, and they bought a bunch of debt over the last decade Plus at super low or negative rights, now that rates are rising they are experiencing major losses on their Holdings. but they hold their gold on their balance sheet at a much reduced level. And could (2) revalue the gold to market levels to more than absorb any current losses. And this would cause a new absolute floor to be established for gold, and this would have to be done in a coordinated manner amongst all the EU members. This would be a much much higher floor!
