- The US And Its Allies Are on The Verge of a Military Conflict with Russia, Warns Moscow
The United States and its allies are on the verge of an open military confrontation with Russia which would be “a direct armed conflict between nuclear powers”, warned this July 12 the spokeswoman for Russian diplomacy, Maria Zakharova.
“By provoking the deepening of the Ukrainian crisis and unleashing a fierce hybrid confrontation with Russia, Washington and its allies teeter dangerously on the brink of open military confrontation with our country. that is to say, of a direct armed conflict between nuclear powers”, affirmed Zajárova.
In a comment published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the spokeswoman pointed out that “obviously such a conflict entails the risk of a nuclear escalation”.
“However, the Japanese ruling party prefers not to notice such a destabilizing policy of its American sovereign,” added Zajárova, whose text is a response to the statements of the Japanese prime minister, fumio kishida that there is a real danger of Russia using nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
Likewise, he described as “absolutely unacceptable the attempts to distort for propaganda purposes the logic of containment of Russian official comments on nuclear issues”, and to present Russia “as a country that threatens with nuclear weapons”.
This, added Zajárova, provokes a special rejection in view of the fact that “currently the main nuclear risks are generated precisely by the boss of Japan, the USA, under whose ‘nuclear umbrella’ the representatives of Tokyo make their provocative comments.”
