Iran has fired 16 surface-to-surface ballistic missiles in what Tehran said was a warning to its arch-enemy Israel. The move by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on December 24 marks the end of Tehran’s military drills in the Gulf.The five-day annual exercise dubbed Payambar-e-Azam or “Great Prophet” began on December 20. Tehran has said that the military drills were intended to send a warning to Israel. The military exercise comes amid concerns over possible Israeli plans to target Iranian nuclear site.
