  Taiwan has warned that China is capable of blockading the island’s key harbours and airports. In its latest defence report, officials said Beijing has launched “grey zone” warfare — threats designed to wear out Taiwan’s military by testing their response time and forcing them to repeatedly scramble jets. Taiwan’s defence ministry has reported about 380 Chinese air incursions over the past year. These intrusions have now become an almost daily occurrence. In October, 148 Chinese military aircraft were spotted over a four-day period.
