Gene Therapy Which Could Slow Human Ageing Found by Chinese Researchers in Studies on Mice
- South China Morning Post
In a world first, biologists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences have developed a gene inactivation therapy that appears to slow ageing in studies on mice. Results showed that some of the effects of ageing in mice were reversed and the therapy extended lifespans of the animals by 25 per cent. Scientists in Beijing hoped the findings could one day contribute to research on similar treatments for humans.
