Crisis Is Helping Elite Reconquer the Public, Admits George Osborne

  Today I go over George Osborne’s briefing with the Hoover Institution on Tuesday, April 28th, 2019. George Osborne was the Chancellor of the Exchequer in the U.K. from 2010 to 2016. The biggest point I got from this briefing is that Mr Osborne thinks or hopes that the elites in the U.K. will be able to reconquer the public after dividing them with the referendum to leave the European Union. I will also quickly go over the developments in the financial markets at the end of this report.
