This week’s topic: U.S. and Iran. Tensions sparked between the two when the U.S. killed Iran’s powerful military commander, Major General Qasem Soleimani in a drone strike near Iraq’s Baghdad International Airport. To justify the strike, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed Soleimani was planning attacks on U.S. forces and that the action was taken “to stop a war.” The situation between Iran and the U.S. is complicated and quickly changing, so we all have to be vigilant about what we read.
