- South China Morning Post
A sit-in planned for to mark two months since the ‘Yuen Long Attack’ ended with a night of tear gas and petrol bombs. The site of the attack, the Yuen Long MTR station, was closed from 3pm, so protesters occupied the adjacent Yoho Mall instead. Many protesters confronted police outside the building, throwing petrol bombs. Officers were seen drawing their firearms in response. Hundreds of riot police swept through Yuen Long in a clean-up. Protesters threw objects and abuse at the retreating police, who responded with multiple rounds of tear gas.
