Israeli Policy to Sanction Unlawful Killings in Gaza
- PressTV Published on Oct 19, 2018
Amnesty International expresses deep concern over Israel’s announcement of a zero-tolerance policy toward peaceful Palestinian protesters in the Gaza Strip. Higazi said there are serious fears that the policy will further sanction the use of deadly force against unarmed protesters during the weekly Great Return March rallies. He added, Israeli forces will be given carte blanche to carry out large-scale, unlawful killings and could escalate the bloodshed. The Israeli cabinet announced the so-called zero tolerance policy on Thursday without elaboration. Israeli forces have already killed over two hundred protesters since late March when the rallies began. Palestinians take part in the Friday demonstrations to secure their right of return to their homeland.
