Chinese Premier Li KeQiang: “Unforeseeable Consequences If Iran Nuclear Deal Falls Apart”
- PressTV Published on Jul 9, 2018
Germany and China have reaffirmed their support for the 20-15 nuclear deal between Iran and the p-five-plus-one group of countries. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said there might be unforeseeable consequences if the deal falls apart. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the nuclear accord was well-negotiated, adding that Germany remained committed to the deal. However, she implied that Berlin could do little to protect international companies against punitive U-S measures. Merkel added that it is up to individual firms to decide if they want to invest in Iran. U-S President Donald Trump jeopardized the survival of the landmark accord by pulling his country out of the deal in May.
