Gaza Teen Dies of Wounds from Clashes with Israeli Troops

  Another Palestinian teenager, shot by Israeli forces, has died of his injuries.Israeli forces injured the 16-year-old was in May during a protest against the Israeli occupation near the Gaza border. At least 62 other Palestinians were killed on that day. In all, 136 Palestinians have died since the end of March when Israel’s crackdown intensified. Thousands have also been wounded. Human Rights Watch says senior Israeli officials approved orders to shoot at protesters who posed no imminent threat. The rights group says the actions might amount to war crime.

Witnesses said shooting erupted on Friday as protesters rushed the fence. Israel’s military, however, said militants tried to throw an explosive device at soldiers near the border.
