  Clashes once again erupt between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians as protests continue in the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip over the US declaration of Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel’s capital. This is the fifth consecutive day of demonstrations in the West Bank and Gaza. Israeli troops fired rubber bullets and tear gas at the Palestinians who responded by burning tires and hurling rocks at soldiers in Ramallah. More than 70 protesters were injured during the Monday unrest. Anger is high in the Palestinian territories following President Donald Trump’s decision to announce Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel’s capital last week. Trump has ordered the American embassy to be transferred from Tel Aviv to al-Quds later.
