- US ELECTION BOMBSHELL: Bitter Electors ‘Could BLOCK Donald Trump Becoming Next President’
by WILL KIRBY, http://www.express.co.uk/
The President-elect needs to secure the vote of the Electoral College before officially taking over the Oval Office, and while the 538 Electoral College electors are supposed to vote for the winner of their states popular vote, there are fears some could vote against Trump.
Michael Baca, an Electoral College member from Colorado, has openly admitted trying to convince other electors to ditch Trump. He said: “I’m a former U.S. Marine and the core values are honour, courage, commitment. I don’t believe Donald Trump has that.”
Baca, a registered Democrat, is considering supporting Mitt Romney or John Kasich if this would bring more support from other voters. Some electors have reportedly been bombarded with phone calls trying to sway them from voting for Trump.
